Cricket Leigh

Cricket grew up in Kalamazoo, MI and Chicago, IL. In Chicago, she performed onstage at numerous theatres such as The Goodman Theatre and Interplay Theatre, doing both classical and new plays. Cricket received her BFA with honors from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, studying at The Stella Adler Conservatory. At NYU, she performed leads in Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus, The Tempest, Durang's Titanic & others.

Cricket spent two summers acting at the prestigious Sundance Theatre Lab in Utah, working with Tony-award winning director Michael Mayer in the Original Workshop Prod. of Spring Awakening as Thea. In Los Angeles, Cricket studied with The Groundlings, where she found a knack for inventing characters that led her to write, produce & perform a one-woman show called Constantly Distracted, then a one-act called Confetti Bayou: The Last Interview with Janis Joplin, playing Janis herself. Cricket is a past Manhattan Monologue Slam Champion, having written & performed monologues all over L.A. & NY.

Cricket is an accomplished Voice-Over artist, who’s work has included numerous Commercials, Video Games, & Animation projects, including voicing "Mai" in Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender. Cricket can be heard in a wide range of voice-acting projects including Red Faction, Lost Planet, Cars, Pixie Hollow and Need for Speed.

You can catch Cricket at Anime-Fests and Comic-Cons throughout the U.S. meeting fans and signing autographs.

Cricket is also a licensed master social worker (LMSW), seeing private clients on telehealth. Cricket still performs onstage as the lead singer in a blues band (Cricket Creek) and is currently writing a sitcom about her life as a stepmom to two teenage boys.
