Laurie from I Make it Sew Cosplay is a lifelong costumer. Starting with first with the Holly Hobby dress and solidified with the Witch costume her mom made her as a child, she loves to dress up. She spent her childhood learning to sew everything from clothes to dolls. As an adult, there was a long stint of making mainly historical clothing and epic costumes for her own children. Then she found Steampunk, My Little Pony and Cosplay and went to her first convention. She spends her free time making new cosplays, volunteering for Grand Rapids Story Time in the Park and talking her husband into helping her with her props. Now after 13 years she is an award-winning cosplayer and continuing to learn new techniques and make new Cosplays
