Danica Davidson is the author of 20 books for young readers, with more than a quarter of a million copies sold. Her works range from official Minecraft books to manga drawing guides to unofficial Minecrafter adventure books to serious nonfiction. She launched her author career in 2015 with the middle grade title Escape from the Overworld, which introduced the character Stevie, Steve's son in Minecraft. After writing eleven more books about Stevie's adventures, she was sought out for official Minecraft work, penning the official novel Minecraft: The Outsider and coauthoring the official cookbook The Crafter's Kitchen. Her bestselling Manga Art for Beginners was followed by Manga Art for Everyone, and the first-of-its-kind Chalk Art Manga, which shows how to draw in the manga style using chalk.
