Mia (aka ”Envy The Green Fairy”) is an award winning charitable causeplayer and master seamstress. At age 5, Mia discovered her passion for sewing and was inspired to create new Halloween costumes each year, until she went to college earning her degree in fashion design.
Discovering cosplay during her first comicon in 2012, Mia went on to create her original character Envy the Green Fairy where she competed at the 2014 C2E2 Crown Cosplay Contest, and placed in her category! Mia has since gone on to create a multitude of costumes from various fandoms ranging from DC, Marvel, Star Wars, anime, and video games with Wonder Woman being her inspiration to blend them all together!
Mia has utilized her smile and talents to spread hope and raise awareness throughout the community for our children, our Veterans, and our pets. Being a member of several charity cosplay groups, Mia continues to compete, and attend cosplay and costumed events all over the midwest and shows no sign of slowing down any time soon!

Best/Worst Cosplay Prop Contest
For the first time ever, Grand Rapids Comic Con cosplay guests will be holding a Best/Worst prop contest with silly prizes! Come take on the challenge to build the best prop you can while using scrap materials and some simple tools. Make something silly, or something as accurate as you can (all tools and materials will be provided).
