For Marvel, Bob drew Spider-man, Thor, What If, Squadron Supreme, The Avengers, Emperor Doom, the Spider-man/SNLTeam-Up, and many others including Willow, Dark Man and Captain America movie adaptations. He co-created The West Coast Avengers. He was a Marvel editor in 1978.

For Valiant he wrote and drew Shadowman, wrote Timewalker and created, Armed and Dangerous.

For DC, he wrote and drew Batman/Joker graphic novels: I, Joker, It’s Jokertime and Batman DOA as well as guest stints on Weird War, Chase and Batman.
