Ryan Stegman is an American comic book artist and writer best known for his high-energy, heavy-inked style that has made him one of Marvel's most in-demand artists, particularly for characters like Venom and Spider-Man. After contributing to smaller publishers, Stegman signed an exclusive contract with Marvel in 2010. His breakout work began with defining character runs on Scarlet Spider and Superior Spider-Man, collaborating with writers like Dan Slott.

Stegman's style—known for its exaggerated dynamism and emotional intensity—reached its peak during his collaboration with writer Donny Cates. Together, they redefined the Venom mythology, creating the cosmic villain Knull and anchoring the massive crossover events, Absolute Carnage and King in Black. Their run grounded the outlandish concept of the alien symbiote by focusing on the intimate, flawed relationship between host Eddie Brock and the Venom symbiote.

Beyond his work-for-hire, Stegman continues his partnership with Cates on the creator-owned series, Vanish, a gritty, supernatural superhero story published through their own imprint, Kids Love Chains Press. This project, alongside his popular podcast, allows Stegman to showcase his skills as both a writer and artist while retaining full creative ownership.

Stegman will be doing a cover for the upcoming release of The Amazing Spider-Man #1000.
