Nana Visitor
BOOTH C11
Born into a theatrical family, Nana deferred from Princeton to start a life in the theater as a dancer on Broadway. She starred in CHICAGO and 42nd Street and toured opposite Angela Lansbury playing the title role in the musical Gypsy, and was Twiggy’s understudy in the musical MY ONE AMD ONLY. After a tv series and several roles in New York based soap operas, RYAN’S HOPE, ONE LIFE TO LIVE and THE DOCTOR’S, she ditched the idea of college and moved to LA to continue working in television. Besides playing Major Kira in STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE 9, Nana appeared in many guest shots through the years, including TORCHWOOD and BATTLESTAR GALLACTICA, as well as regular roles on DARK ANGEL, Sandra Bullock’s one and only series WORKING GIRL and WILDFIRE. Movie credits include playing Mrs. Voorhees in FRIDAY THE 13th, THE SENTINEL, TED 2, SWING VOTE, THE RESIDENT, A BREAD FACTORY PART 1 and 2, A RISING TIDE and KILLER GRANDMA. She has many FAMILY GUY episodes to her credit, and an Asteroid out there somewhere named in her honor. Nana is very proud of her community on Instagram,@visitornana, where she is Mama Nana and passes on what she’s learned about being human through her personal experience and through the lens of neuroscience. She has given a TEDX talk at Space Force on the subject. Her book OPEN A CHANNEL is being published in the
fall of 2024 and examines the women of Star Trek and the extraordinary people they inspired.
