Jeff Balke is an entrepreneur, writer, voice actor and upcoming producer/director of his own animations. He founded his own animation studio, Jeff Balke Studios, which focuses on 2D Animation (both traditional and digital Animation). He’s created a number of characters, but is best known for Stanley and Friends (Stanley Squirrel, Natasha Squirrel, Chester, Baby Fang, Billy Billington and Bandit). In addition to creating animation, his studio also produced their first all ages comic called Stanley’s Ghost, which was Eisner nominated, starting their own line of weekly comic strips and kids books. Just recently, they started work on their first stop motion animation featuring Stanley Squirrel. Jeff Balke Studios was founded in 2015 while Jeff was working as an Award Winning Comic Book Colorist. He’s worked on hundreds of comic books, and has worked with companies such as Marvel, Image, Zenescope, and Storm King Productions just to name a few. He was also nominated twice for the Eagle Awards for Best Comic Book Colorist, and won the Shel Dorf Award in 2011 for Colorist of the Year. In 2007 he created Sketch Coloring™ (HIS version of commissions) where he hand colors using markers right on the black and white comic covers (which has expanded into prints, posters etc.) making what’s colored POP right off that piece and leaving some black and white, so you get the best of both worlds. This makes each Sketch Coloring™ unique and one of a kind. No two are EVER colored alike.
