Deep Roy

Deep, born in Nairobi, Kenya, to Indian parents, made his professional screen acting debut in a 1976 episode of The New Avengers titled “Target!” as a character named Klokoe.

His determination to pursue acting came from his love of drama, his thriving positivity and attitude to life and his willingness to throw himself into each and every role. His career spans near five decade and a majority of the most popular television and film franchises to date including Star Wars in which he portrayed Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back and Droopy McCool in Return of the Jedi. Keenser in J.J. Abrams installment of Star Trek and of course the only Oompa Loompa in Tim Burtons version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
