I’m an award-winning novelist (pen name Nell Gavin) who also worked for a

number of years as a technical writer. Then I took up pottery ten years ago and

found myself creating ceramic items that appear to be made of other materials.

I am the only person using this technique, so everything I offer is totally unique.

My drinking vessels have always been my best sellers, so I focus solely on them

now. My hand built Celtic-themed beer steins appear to be made of stitched

canvas and leather, my Southwest-themed beer steins appear to be made of

stitched deerskin and leather with beads and feather trim, and my Art Deco beer

steins appear to be made of woven or knitted fabric and patent leather, with

metallic “buttons” and accents. I also make standard wheel-thrown wine goblets
