Amanda Scharf Illustration
ARTIST ALLEY BOOTH A-7
My work is a collection of subject matter that focuses mostly on humans and animals. My pieces are very narrative driven and incorporate designs influenced by Japanese textiles, kimono, and Classic Gothic paintings. I create illustrations with a combination of watercolor, pen and ink, acrylic, cut paper and digital techniques. I feel that all of these elements along with the themes I explore creates unique art pieces that incorporate a strong balance of design, concepts and narratives, and allows my work to stand out amongst my peers to appeal to several audiences.
I am a freelance Illustrator who also works part-time as a server. I'm always trying to squeeze in as much time as humanly possible for my art to explore even more concepts and stories, and I want to get those stories and art out there. My goal is to go full-time freelance and work with those who are inspired by my creative vision and want to incorporate me into their projects. I'm currently working on and funding a graphic novel with my husband.
