Tony Todd…that VOICE! Born Anthony T. Todd in 1954 has became known for not only his voice, but his height of 6’5” which allows him to play some intimidating characters. An actor and film producer, Tony has made a name for him himself by playing the role of Candyman in the horror movie Candyman (1992) and its sequel Candyman: Farewell To The Flesh. He also performed in the movies Platoon, The Rock, and The Man from Earth, and was Bludworth in three of the Final Destination films. This is just a sampling of Tony Todd’s performances.
Not only acting, Tony has used that amazing voice for voice overs in such hits as Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen as Fallen and voicing Dreadwing in the “Transformers: Prime” television series. Tony is also the voice of Darkseid in numerous DC Comics animated films, the voice of Icon in “Young Justice”, and the voice of Zoom in the CW show “The Flash”.
He has made guest appearances on all three of the longest running North American science fiction series: “The X-Files” (1993), “Stargate SG-1” (1997) and “Smallville” (2001). He also served as Commander Kurn, Worf’s brother, in several episodes of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and subsequent video games playing the same character. Tony has also performed in “24”, “Chuck”, “Holliston” and quite a few more.
Tony is also very busy in 2019, performing in quite a few new and upcoming productions including 30 to 45, Bulletproof 2, Candy Corn, and Reign Of The Supermen, as well as the recurring character Luther in “Scream: The TV Series”. Next year, Tony will be picking up one of his most iconic roles as he will portray The Candyman in the 2020 remake.
